DRFC Leicester v Doncaster Preview

Doncaster Rovers make their first ever visit to the Walker Stadium on Tuesday night when they play Leicester City.


The Foxes got back to winning ways on Saturday when they won 2-1 at Blackpool.

It was their first win in six games since beating Swansea at the start of the New Year.

Last time out at home they held league leaders Newcastle to a 0-0 draw despite having former Rovers midfielder Richie Wellens sent off in the first half.

The Rovers are having their worst run of the season at the moment having lost their last four games.

They were beaten at home by relegation threatened Reading 2-1 on Saturday.

Last time out away from home the lost to an injury time goal in a 2-1 defeat at Cardiff City.

The two sides are meeting for the first time at Leicester since 1956 and it will be the first meeting at the Walker Stadium.

The Foxes have by far the better record winning eleven to Doncaster`s one in their twelve meetings at Leicester.

Rovers have to go all the way back to 1902 for their last win when they won 1-
