DRFC Shackell doubtful for Wednesday clash
Jason Shackell could miss the midweek trip to Sheffield Wednesday after lasting only fifteen minutes on his return from a hernia operation.
Rovers on loan defender Jason Shackell suffered a reoccurrence of the injury and had to be replaced by Sam Hird.
Boss Sean O`Driscoll admitted after the game that he was 'ooming and ahhing` whether to risk Shackell after the defender had only trained twice with the squad since returning from injury.
Speaking on the official website, O`Driscoll said, "I thought it was worth the risk, and to be honest, it got us off to a good start. As soon as he felt his groin he had to come off".
Shackell who is on loan for the rest of the season from Wolverhampton Wanderers was replaced as soon as he felt the injury reoccur and may need an extra week to recover.

Seems a bit silly to rush him back when the side had kept a clean sheet at Leicester in midweek.

When I saw his name on the team sheet yesterday I thought he was coming back very quickly. He had the operation the 30th January and said he would be out for three to ofur weeks!
