DRFC Heffernan extends stay at Pirates

Doncaster Rovers striker Paul Heffernan has extended his stay at Bristol Rovers until the end of the season.

Heffernan has already enjoyed a month at the Memorial ground scoring two goals in six appearances and helping the side

He`s helped the side to four wins in his six games, three of the wins coming against promotion chasing Charlton, Swindon and Colchester in which he`s scored in the Charlton and Swindon games.

Heffernan, speaking on BBC Radio Bristol said, 'I'm enjoying myself down here and it was an easy decision to make."

The 28 year old who finished last season as top scorer at Doncaster has struggled to maintain a regular starting place this season and as already had one loan spell at Oldham Athletic this season.

The loan spell could pave the way for a more permanent deal at the end of the season with Heffernan out of contract.

I think if Heff's and Sharp had been given time they would have made a fantastic partnership, I just don't think him and O'Driscoll saw eye to eye.
