'If It's Football, It's Vital'

DRFC O'Driscoll We cancelled each other out

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll believes his side deserved the point they came away with from the Liberty Stadium as both sides cancelled each other out.

Swansea went into the game needing three points to have any chance of a Play off spot but they rarely troubled Ben Smith in the Rovers goal.

Speaking on the official website, O`Driscoll said, 'We slowly built the week up and probably prepared as well as we have all season. We couldn't come here unprepared, so we did a lot of work and that helped us. We could have been better with the ball but both goalkeepers had only one save to make. In some senses, we cancelled each other out.'

Swansea did create the better chances but wayward shooting let them down.

Rovers could have grabbed all three points late on but Heffernan shot over when in a great position.

The game also had its controversial moments as the referee waved away a strong penalty shout when Sam Hird and Craig Beattie came together in the Rovers area.

Swansea also had the ball in the net late on through Lee Trundle but he clearly handled the ball before shooting.

Credit to O'Driscoll and Rovers, they had nothing to play for at Swansea but gave it there all and weren't thinking about there summer holidays.

I am sure Blackpool are very grateful to Rovers commitment.
