DRFC Gillett back on Rovers radar?

Simon Gillett who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Doncaster Rovers last season, as been released by his parent club Southampton.

The news could alert Rovers to the midfielder who made eleven performances for the club between October and December.

Rumours were that he was ready to join Rovers in the January transfer window and a deal had been sorted only for Southampton to suddenly want a fee, which Rovers refused to pay.

He returned to Southampton, making just four substitute appearances all season before being released at the end of the season.

I am sure Rovers will be happy now he would be coming on a free. Probably lose out on him due to wages!!!
