Doncaster Rovers are heading to Devon as part of their pre season tour to take part in the 2010 Joma South West challenge cup.

The tournament will run from Monday July 19th to Sunday July 25th and will include sides from the Football League, Scottish Premier League and non-league clubs.

Eleven other sides in the competition join Rovers. They are Accrington Stanley. Leyton Orient and Shrewsbury Town from the Football League, Kilmarnock from the Scottish Premier League and non-league sides Barnstaple Town, Bideford, Eastleigh, Havant & Waterlooville, Ilfracombe Town, Rushden & Diamonds and Truro City.

Rovers will be hoping that the tour will have the same effect as it did for last years winners Blackpool who have just clinched promotion to the Premier League.

Its good that they are going to be taking part in something with something to play for. All lot of pre season games are nothing more than a stroll in the park.
