DRFC Former Rover Heffernan signs for Owls

Striker Paul Heffernan who was released by Doncaster Rovers at the end of the season has signed for League One side Sheffield Wednesday.

The 27 year old enjoyed five years at Rovers and finished as top goalscorer twice, including the clubs first season back in the Championship.

The former Notts County and Bristol City player made only six starts for Rovers last season and spent time out on loan at Oldham Athletic and Bristol Rovers.

Heffernan will officially sign for the Owls on July 1st in a two-year deal.

I wish him all the best, always did a fantastic job for Rovers and if he can keep himself fully fit will always score goals.
