Mulligan To Join Iron

The out of contract defender is to join Scunthorpe United tommorow, according to Vital sources. Mully turned down a contract offered to him by Rovers, alledgedly requesting that he be guaranteed a set number of appearances.

Mulligan has international caps playing for New Zealand, where he played when he was younger. He was one of only a handful of players to make over 30 appearances for Rovers last season.

If the move goes head, he will link up another former Rovers defender at Glanford Park, Steve Foster.

The absolute correct decision. Players should be picked on their ability and form not guaranteed anything.
