DRFC Dates set for South West Cup

Doncaster Rovers can now confirm the two dates for their Joma South West Challenge Cup group four games in July.

Rovers will play Barnstaple Town at Barnstaple on Monday July 19th with a 7pm kick off.

They will be back in action on Wednesday 21st when they face Havant & Waterlooville at Holsworthy FC with a 7.30pm kick off.

The other three groups are made up of two more groups of three and one group of four with the winners of each making up the semi finals.

In the other groups last years winners Blackpool will face Bideford Town, Accrington Stanley and Kilmarnock in Group one.

Group two comprises of Truro City, Eastleigh, Leyton Orient and group three is made up of Ilfracombe Town, Shrewsbury Town, Rushden & Diamonds.

The two semi finals will take place on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th, if Rovers do progress their semi final will be on the Saturday.

The final will take place the following day on the Sunday at Bideford FC with a 3pm kick off.

Could be a busy week with the possibility of four games and with a slight competitive edge to it. Think its a good idea for pre season where games are usually played at a snail pace with nothing but fitness to play for.
