DRFC Oster signs new deal

Doncaster Rovers have signed John Oster on a new two year deal.

The midfielder joined Rovers on the eve of last season on a short-term deal and impressed so much that the deal was extended until the end of the season.

The 31 year old was offered a new contract by boss Sean O`Driscoll at the end of last season, which Oster as now signed.

The former Welsh international enjoyed a successful first season with Rovers making 44 appearances and scoring one goal, a very late winner in the 2-1 win at Peterborough United in March.

Oster joins Adam Lockwood and Neil Sullivan in signing a new deal with the club after being out of contract at the end of last season.

Rovers are now just waiting on James Hayter to know whether he will be signing a new deal with the club.

I thought he'd have retired by now.

Glad he's staying, he did really well last year and adds a lot of experience to the side.

The only person that should have been arrested last season was the referee!

He seems to have been around for ever.
