DRFC Gillett completes medical

Radio Sheffield have reported that midfielder Simon Gillett has completed a medical at Doncaster Rovers and is all set to sign for the club.

Gillett enjoyed a successful two-month loan deal at the Keepmoat last season, making eleven appearances for the club.

The 24 year old was all set to sign for Rovers in the January transfer window from Southampton but it`s reported that Gillett couldn`t agree personal terms with the club.

Southampton released the midfielder at the end of last season after making just 30 appearances in a five-year spell at the club.

Gillett will be Rovers second signing in quick succession after the club record signing of Billy Sharp from Sheffield United earlier today.

Not seen anything anywhere about him signing yet, just the rumours of the last few days. I wonder if they will announce it tomorrrow? I remember when we announced four signings in four days in our first season in League One. I think Ryan revels and loves all the publicity from it.
