After Rovers thumping of Barnstaple on Monday night they were brought back down to earth with a huge bump after getting hammered 5-0 by Havant and Waterlooville.
Rovers went into the game needing just a draw to progress through to the semi finals.
Billy Sharp had a good chance for Rovers on the quarter hour but saw his header saved by the Havant keeper.
Steve Ramsey opened the scoring in the 23rd minute for Havant and Waterlooville after a throw into the middle caused problems and Ramsey was there to smash the ball past Sullivan.
Havant could have doubled the lead soon afterwards but Sullivan got down well to keep out a header.
Havant didn`t have to wait long for their second goal, once again a long throw caused problems in the Rovers box and Sam Pearce was given plenty of time to beat Neil Sullivan.
The Non League side were enjoying themselves against Rovers and Tiryaki scored a stunning free kick close to half time to give Havant a 3-0 lead.
Rovers thought they had got a way back into the game shortly afterwards but Billy Sharp`s goal was ruled out for offside.
Havant were well worth their three-goal lead as the sides went in at half time.
Pearce scored a fourth for Havant in the opening minutes of the second half when he beat Sullivan at the near post.
Stock came close to pulling a goal back for Rovers but his effort just went wide of the post.
Rovers were trying to get back into the game but Coppinger also saw his effort go wide of the target.
The biggest cheer of the evening by the Rovers fans that had made the trip down to Devon was the introduction of Steve Brooker who was making his first appearance for the club since signing in January 2009.
The referee awarded a penalty to Havant inside the final twenty minutes for a foul just inside the area and Hinshelwood made no mistake from the spot to make it 5-0.
Rovers will now have to wait and see whether they are to progress to the semi finals.
Havant only need a draw in their final group game against Barnstaple on Thursday night to book their place in the semi finals.
Team:
Sullivan, Martis, Friend (Dumbuya), Hird, Clark, Grandison (Lockwood), Payne, Gillett (Stock), Shiels (Coppinger), Fairhurst, Sharp.
