DRFC Preston v Doncaster Match Officials

Former Premiership referee Steve Tanner will take charge of Rovers opening game of the season at Preston on Saturday.

The Somerset official took charge of 34 games last season showing 111 yellow cards and 9 reds.

Tanner was in charge of just one Preston game last season when he officiated the 2-0 defeat at Middlesbrough in March.

He also only took charge of one Rovers game and that was also against Middlesbrough when they was beaten 4-1 at home in January.

When they aren't good enough for the Premierhsip they should be made to go back to the lowest level. Why should the championship put up with inept referees?

He wasn't very good for us against Middlesbrough, then again he doesn't look like he was good for Preston against Middlesbrough either.
