DRFC O'Driscoll wanting to sort out new contracts

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll is keen to sit down and talk new contracts with five of his first team regulars.

First team captain Brian Stock along with Martin Woods, James Coppinger, James Chamber and James O`Connor are all entering the final year of their contracts.

O`Driscoll said, 'All are in the last years of their contracts so it is important that we start a process that has an end. The players would like that, too, and the process is currently ongoing.'

A few clubs are already showing an interest in one or two of the players with Brian Stock being rumoured with Swansea City and Martin Woods with Preston North End.

O`Driscoll lost only one player in the summer that turned down the offer of a new contract, with Gareth Roberts joining Derby County.

Neil Sullivan, John Oster, Adam Lockwood, Gary Woods and James Hayter all signed new contracts in the summer.

In those five players he's got five of the most consistent players in the squad with a few of them guaranteeing a decent fee. Rovers need to tie them down now or think about cashing in.

Five very good players, I wouldn't like to lose any of them.
