DRFC Rovers sign Thomas

Doncaster Rovers have completed the signing of defender Wayne Thomas.

The 31 year old has signed on an initial one-year deal after a successful trial period at the club during pre season.

Southampton released Thomas at the end of last season after making 45 appearances in a three-year stint at the club after joining them for over £1 million in 2007 from Burnley.

The defender has made almost 400 appearances in a fifteen year career at Torquay, Stoke City, Burnley and Southampton.

With the way the squad is falling apart at the moment we needed some new blood. I think once the Premier League sides have submitted their 25 squad players we could see a few coming in.
