DRFC Hayter sent for scans on damaged hamstring

Doncaster Rovers striker James Hayter has undergone a scan today to find out the extent of the hamstring injury he sustained on Tuesday night.

Hayter was forced off late into Tuesday nights Carling Cup defeat against Accrington Stanley to add to Rovers already lengthy injury list.

Assistant manager, Richard O`Kelly speaking on the official website said, "He`s due for a hamstring scan this afternoon (Thursday). We`ll know more then, it`s a hamstring strain but how serious it is, we won`t know until later on."

Rovers have been plagued with injuries since pre season and had to include four youth team players on the bench on Tuesday night.

I can't see him being back for a while, it looked really serious on Tuesday.

It will be a shame, him and Sharp work well together.
