DRFC Stock in latest Wales squad

DRFC Stock in latest Wales squad

Doncaster Rovers captain Brian Stock has been included in the latest Wales squad for their opening Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro in Podgorica on Friday September 3rd.

Stock has started Wales last two games against Croatia in May and against Luxembourg earlier this month and has now won three full caps since making his debut against Russia in September 2009.

Alongside Stock in the 25 man squad are Craig Bellamy and Darcy Blake who will be in opposition on Saturday when Rovers make the trip to South Wales to face Cardiff City.

The squad will assemble in Cardiff on Monday August 30th.

Its certainly raising his profile and might get a few clubs with a bit of money sniffing around again before the window closes.

I don't want to see him leave but the good thing is it will be adding to his value. We need to get him tied down to a new contract very soon, if he's not signed a new contract by Christmas I think Rovers will cash in rather than see him leave for free at the end of the season.
