DRFC Former favourite linked with return to club

According to reports Doncaster Rovers made a late effort to bring former favourite Michael McIndoe to the Keepmoat.

McIndoe seems to have fallen out of favour at Coventry City since the arrival of new boss Aidy Bothroyd in the summer, he`s made just the one appearance so far this season when they was dumped out of the Carling Cup at Morecambe in the first round.

The 29 year old enjoyed three successful years at Doncaster between 2003 and 2006 and helped the club win the old Division Three title in the 2003/04 season.

He also played a key part in their run to the quarter finals of the Carling Cup in 2006, when he scored against Manchester City, Aston Villa and Arsenal.

The Scottish B international was also included in the PFA Team of the Year in two out of his three seasons at the club.

Since leaving Rovers, he`s had spells at Barnsley, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bristol City and Coventry.

I really don't think he would add much to the squad anymore, we have enough decent midfielders.

I have to agree, he did really well for us during his three years but I think we have seen in recent years that he's not the player he was.
