DRFC O'Driscoll denies McIndoe link

Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O`Driscoll has denied any contact with Coventry City regarding bringing former Doncaster favourite Michael Mcindoe to the Keepmoat.

Doncaster were rumoured to have made a late inquiry on Tuesday about McIndoe on transfer deadline day.

Speaking in the Sheffield Star, O`Driscoll said, 'I don't know where the story came from."

The midfielder had three very successful years with the club between 2003 and 2006.

Coventry boss Aidy Bothroyd has said that any player who is not featuring in the first team would be available when the loan window reopens next week.

Asked whether he would be interested in bringing McIndoe to the Keepmoat, O`Driscoll said, 'It would depend on how much it would cost because financially we are up to the budget.

'It would have to be outside the financial guidelines that I have been given.

'But it is difficult to comment on something that we've had no contact with Coventry over.'

McIndoe as yet to feature in the Championship this season and as made just the one start in the sides disappointing 2-0 defeat at Morecambe.

Its not the first time we have been linked with McIndoe this year, looks like a case of putting two and two together and making five!

Do we want him back, he thought he was too good for us. No thanks, Copps is a better player.
Jaclin
I agree, he left Rovers because he wanted more money and to play at an higher level. Not really done anything and I don't think he would fit into the O'Driscoll style.
DonnyEd
We really don't need him, then again listening to reports we can't afford anyone at the moment.
