DRFC Watford v Doncaster Match Preview

Doncaster Rovers get back to league action this weekend after the international break hoping to build on their win over Hull City.

Watford
The Hornets lost last time out 1-0 at home against Leeds United.

In their only other home league game this season, they drew with Coventry City 2-2.

Overall they have won one, drawn two and lost one and currently sit in fourteenth place with five points.

Doncaster
Last time out Rovers beat near neighbours Hull City 3-1 at the Keepmoat.

In their last away game, they were defeated 4-0 at Cardiff City.

They came away with all three points in their only other away game so far this season when they defeated Preston 2-0 on the opening day of the season.

Overall they have won two, drawn one and lost one and currently sit in ninth place on seven points.

History

The two clubs have previously met on eight occasions at Vicarage Road with the home side winning four to Doncaster`s two and two draws.

The two sides met at Vicarage Road on the opening day of last season and had to settle for a point apiece in a 1-1 draw.

Danny Graham gave the home side an early lead before a James Hayter header brought Doncaster level.

Doncaster were denied a chance to take all three points when Dean Shiels effort looked to have crossed the line but their appeals for a goal were waved away by referee Neil Swarbrick.
