DRFC QPR V Doncaster Rovers Match Preview

Doncaster Rovers travel to the capital this weekend to play early season pace setters Queens Park Rangers.


Rangers have started the Championship season in great style and are currently unbeaten in seven games. So far they have won six and drawn one.

In their last game they won 2-0 at Leicester City with the inform Jamie Mackie getting both goals.

The only points they have dropped so far this season were when they drew 2-2 at Derby County.

The Rams are in fact the only side who have scored against them so far this season.

In their three home games in the league so far this season they have beaten Barnsley 4-0, Scunthorpe 2-0 and Middlesbrough 3-0.

Rangers are five points clear at the top with 19 points from their 7 games.

The Rovers are currently unbeaten in four games and have lost just one of their opening seven matches.

Last time out they were held to a 0-0 draw at home against Leeds United.

In their last away fixture, they scored an injury time equaliser to earn a point in a 2-2 draw at Watford.

Overall away from home they have won one (Preston 2-0), drawn one (Watford 2-2) and lost one (Cardiff 4-0).

Rovers are currently in seventh place with 12 points from 7 games.

The two sides have only ever met on six occasions at QPR during their histories.

QPR have the edge with four wins to Doncaster`s two.

When the two sides met at QPR last season the home side ran out 2-1 winners. Antonio German gave the home side the lead before James Hayter equalised for Rovers. Jay Simpson scored the winner with just fifteen minutes remaining and they have now won the last four meeting between the two sides in London.

Going to be a very difficult game against QPR who seem rock solid at the back and aren't lacking in the goalscoring stakes either.
I wonder what style of football Warnock as got them playing. I am sure there midfield are going to make it very difficult for us to play and we have to watch Jamie Mackie who can't stop scoring.
