DRFC Match Day History October 19th

DRFC Match Day History October 19th

Doncaster Rovers have a good match day record on October 19th and will be hoping to improve it further still when they meet Derby County at the Keepmoat on Tuesday.

Rovers have won eight of their sixteen games to be played on the date.

Lincoln City have proved to be popular opposition on this date with three games against the Imps between 1962-1971.

The last time Rovers played on this date was in 2002 when they travelled to Huish Park to face Yeovil Town in a top of the table clash.

The game had to kick off late as 6,674 people crammed in to watch the top two battle out a 1-1 draw.

Danny Hudson put Rovers into the lead inside ten seconds when he burst threw the middle to score on his debut for the club.

Gavin Williams equalised on 15 minutes with a stunning 30-yard strike.

Both sides celebrated promotion at the end of the season with Yeovil going up as champions and Rovers winning the first ever Conference League play offs.
