DRFC Doncaster v Sheffield United Team News

Doncaster Rovers continue to have a number of players missing or struggling ahead of the local derby with Sheffield United this weekend.

Wayne Thomas and James Chambers have finally returned to training after long-term injuries but they are still a while away from match fitness.

Both George Friend and Simon Gillett have suffered medial knee ligament damage in the last week and are going to be out for up to three months.

James O`Connor is set to be missing again after suffering a hamstring injury at Scunthorpe last weekend.

James Hayter (ankle), Steve Brooker (Abductor), Martin Woods (groin) and Adam Lockwood (toe) will face fitness tests.

Sheffield United will be without Nick Montgomery, Ryan France, Lee Williamson and Darius Henderson through injury.

Defender Stephen Jordan is a doubt with a hamstring injury.

At least there is a bit of good news.Lets hope if some of the returning players play it doesn't cause more problems. Didn't relaise Friend and Gillett were out for so long!

Is he just making injuries worse by playing players? We should have brought a few in on loan to give players like Woods and O'Connor plenty of time to recover properly.
