DRFC Chambers blow for Rovers

Doncaster Rovers have been rocked by the news that defender James Chambers has suffered a setback in his comeback from a knee injury.

Chambers recently returned to the squad and was an unused substitute in the recent defeat at Reading.

The defender who as yet to make a first team appearance this season, suffered a different injury to the same knee when playing in a behind closed doors friendly.

The former Leicester and West Brom defender is due to see a specialist next week to find out the full extent of the injury.

We have missed Chambers, he was one of the most consistent players in a Rovers shirt last season. Must be made worse by the fact that he'd just got back to full fitness as well.

I think he's out of contract in the summer, might see Rovers not offering him a new deal if he can't get the injury sorted out.
