DRFC O'Driscoll hoping to extend Healy loan

Sean O`Driscoll is keen to extend the loan of striker David Healy from Sunderland.

Weather permitting; Healy will play his last game of his initial one-month loan deal against Barnsley on Saturday.

Speaking in the Doncaster Free Press, O`Driscoll said, 'David is a smart player who has fitted in well here but I need to chat to him first, and then Steve Bruce, before we can announce anything.'

Healy scored the winning goal on his debut against Millwall and also scored the winner at Portsmouth.

The Northern Ireland international has fitted into Sean O`Driscoll`s squad and the thought of Healy and Billy Sharp, who as recently returned to full fitness, playing alongside each other, is a mouth-watering prospect.

Would love to see Healy and Sharp up front together, they are both hard working and know where the net is. Lets hope he stays.
