DRFC O'Driscoll ends Sheffield United rumours

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll has issued a statement to finally end any rumours linking him with the vacant position at Sheffield United.

O`Driscoll was continuously linked with the vacant position last week and in a number of newspaper articles it was suggested that he had agreed to join the Blades.

In a statement on the official website, O`Driscoll said, 'Contrary to continuing media speculation linking me with the vacant managerial post at Sheffield United, I would like to reiterate that I am not in the frame to fill this position and am concentrating solely on preparing the team for the two games we have against Scunthorpe and Sheffield United this coming weekend.'

Sheffield United already seem to have moved on and have been given permission to speak to Port Vale boss Micky Adams,

i dont think it's the fact the SOD doesn't want to come otherwise why would he have held talks. I think he did and still does want to come......the fact is he didnt like what he heard from our bunch of *****ers on the board!!!

He probably realised it would be a backwards step after holding talks.

I had to laugh today when I saw Paul Hart was the new favourite. He seems to be the cheap choice for a lot of clubs when in need of a manager and usually lasts about six months.
dazza71
but he masterminded wendy's fate to league 1 never the less.....what a fine day that was, seeing all the pigs crying!! ha ha ha......SOD will be the next burnley manager anyway....you heard it hear first!!
bladesforlife1889
Like he was going to be the next Sheffield United boss.

I always knew he would stay, he would have been daft to go to Sheff Utd.
