DRFC O'Driscoll left gob smacked

Sean O`Driscoll was left gob smacked after seeing his Rovers side put in a poor performance in the 3-0 home defeat to Reading.

Speaking on the official website, O`Driscoll said, 'I thought we were the better team for the first 25 minutes and then we were second best for the rest of the game. I am gob smacked. We try to put the emphasis on performance instead of results. But we have to take it on the chin and unfortunately that performance has ruined my weekend."

Rovers were undone by goals from Shane Long, Jimmy Kebe and Jobi McAnuff as they suffered only their second home defeat of the season.

Rovers felt they were hard done by with the score at 1-0 when Billy Sharp`s turn and shot, hit the out stretched arm of Ivar Ingimarsson but the referee waved away the Rovers appeals for a penalty.

The afternoon was summed up really with Reading`s third goal when Jobi McAnuff blocked Lockwood`s clearance and the ball flew into the back of the net.

The result leaves Rovers in fifteenth place on 35 points from 24 games
