DRFC Sharp in running for Player of the Month

Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp is on the short list for the npower Championship player of the month for January.

Sharp enjoyed a great month in front of goal for Rovers.

Despite Rovers poor form during the month, Sharp managed to find the net six times.

Also in contention for the award is former Doncaster Rovers midfielder Richie Wellens.

The winner will be announced on Thursday February 10th.

Considering the month Rovers had that was a great return of six goals.

The fact that he did it in a a side that was struggling he should get it but I am sure they will focus on players at clubs doing well.

Once we get a settled side he will continue in the scoring form that we all expect. A great effort and good to see that the so called experts understand his and the Rovers plight with injuries.
