DRFC Five players to return to training this week

Injury hit Doncaster Rovers have been boosted by the news that a number of players will return to training this week.

Rovers were down to the bare bones last weekend for the trip to Millwall with eleven first team players on the injury list.

Sean O`Driscoll will welcome back to training on Thursday, Neil Sullivan, Joseph Mills, Matt Kilgallon, Mark Wilson and James Coppinger.

Defender Wayne Thomas is also closing in on a return to full training after his long-term calf injury.

The rest of the injury news is not quite so good though with Martin Woods (groin), Simon Gillett, Adam Lockwood and Mustapha Dumbuya (all knee), James Hayter (calf) and Shelton Martis (ankle) all a minimum of three weeks away from a return to training.

These injuries have given SOD some sleepless nights. Glad to see that the supporters are understanding.

I think when there are so many players out they have to be, I know we are a hard bunch to please but I really believe that the injuries all season have really cost us dear. We need a few more back in contention as we have a really difficult run coming up.

I am sure O'Driscoll is relieved to have a few players back for Saturday,
