Rovers suffer defeat as injuries crisis deepens

Doncaster Rovers lost 3-0 at promotion chasing Swansea City, as their injury-ravaged squad shows no sign of improving.

Rovers were dealt a blow before kick off when James Coppinger pulled out through injury and he was named amongst the substitutes that had only four outfield players.

Even the introduction of Jason Euell and Franck Moussa who have both joined on loan this week could help the side.

Swansea won easily with Rovers failing to even get a shot on goal during the 90 minutes.

The home side took the lead when Scott Sinclair tapped in from close range after a ball in from the right.

They doubled the lead before half time when Ashley Williams scored a similar effort, at the second attempt.

Luke Moore scored the third late on as the Rovers defence were nowhere to be seen as Moore was played in through the middle.

Rovers have to count the walking wounded and try and get themselves ready for another tough game at Norwich City on Tuesday night.
