DRFC Midfielder joins Oxford on loan

Doncaster Rovers midfielder Ryan Burge has joined Oxford United on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 22 year old only joined Rovers on the final day of the January transfer window but he has made just one substitute appearance against Ipswich Town since his arrival.

Burge links up with the League Two side after a short trial with the club and he recently played for their reserves against Colchester United.

The midfielder becomes the second Rovers player to join Oxford this season after Josh Payne signed for the U`s on a permanent deal, after enjoying a successful loan spell in the early months of the season.

Oxford are still chasing a Play off play and he will go straight into the squad for the home clash with Crewe Alexandra at the weekend.

A bit like Josh Payne earlier in the season who went to Oxford. Only been at Rovers two minutes and he's on his way.
