DRFC Duo out for the season

Doncaster Rovers duo James Chambers and Paul Keegan will both miss the rest of the season after going under the surgeons knife.

Chambers who has had an injury-ravaged season required surgery after suffering a knee injury.

The 30 year old is in the final year of his three year contract and he`s made just nine appearances this season in Rovers colours.

Keegan who only joined Rovers in January on a short-term deal will also be missing after requiring surgery on a cartilage injury.

The 26 year old hasn`t featured since picking up the injury at Leeds earlier in the month.

The midfielder had quickly settled into the Rovers side, making ten appearances since his arrival.

Better news is the return to training of John Oster and Steve Brooker this week.

Another player I think Rovers will release in the summer is James Chambers. No new deal done, unlike the other main players. A shame because in his first two seasons he was an almost ever present and could play in a number of positions.

Chambers as been missed, he gave Rovers an option in a number of different positions. He hardly missed a game in his first two seasons. I hope he's retained.
