Lee Hits Back At McIndoe

Lee Hits Back At McIndoe

Rovers captian Greame Lee has hit back at Michael McIndoe comments.

In the Yorkshire Sport, Lee said:

'McIndoe's problem is that he didn't want to be part of this club. He was not a team player because all he kept on saying was how much he wanted away and that he was too good for this level.

'It's disappointing because, now that he has got his move, he could have just gone away and wished us all the best and we would have done the same. Instead of that, he is turning around and saying daft things â€" the sort of thing you would expect from a young boy.

'It's laughable but a lot of the lads are unhappy about the comments. The fans need to know that the team spirit is brilliant and now that McIndoe has gone away, the team spirit will be even better.'

McIndoe also made remarks about Dave Penney. The Rovers gaffer said: 'If he had just gone quietly, I could respect him a little bit more. His comments were very similar when he left Yeovil.

'There is no point keeping a player at a club where they are unhappy. He wanted to play at a higher level and he wasn't prepared to wait for us to get there.'

I cannot understand why he's gone to Barnsley??? they must of been the only championship side remotely interested.

standing up for the team, that is what a real player and captain does unlike a pre-madonna like McIndoe.
