DRFC Rovers injury woes continue

Doncaster Rovers injury problems show no sign of clearing with a number of players already ruled out for the start of the new season.

Club Captain Brian Stock looks like being out until November at the earliest after undergoing ankle surgery.

James Chambers is also set to spend at least another four month`s on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.

The defender went under the knife eight weeks ago and he is expected to be out for six to nine months.

Fellow defender Adam Lockwood also had surgery on his knee eight weeks ago and is on the same recovery time scale as Chambers.

Steve Brooker will miss the start of the season after having surgery on his ankle.
The striker has had an injured ravaged career at the Keepmoat since joining in January 2009 and will be out for at least three months.

Also still on the treatment table are Paul Keegan, Dennis Souza, Martin Woods, Gary Woods, Ryan Burge, George Friend and Shelton Martis.

Rovers have had a horrendous run with injuries since the start of 2011.

At one stage, there were no fewer than fourteen players on the sidelines as Rovers slipped from the edge of the play offs to a fight against relegation.

To see so many players already out till christams and all the players out of contract its very worrying.

It is already very worrying that players are ruled out for the remainder of this year. Got to bring in quite a few players to cover the squad and also have competition for places.
