Hereford United fan The Duke of Stratosphear from the Bullsbanter website as been kind enough to answer a few questions about Doncaster Rovers striker Waide Fairhurst who spent time on loan at Edgar Street earlier this season.
Had you heard of Fairhurst prior to him signing for Hereford and what did you think of his signing when it was announced?
I'd heard his name but knew little about him, but we badly needed another striker after Mathieu Manset's departure and reports from all quarters, re. Fairhurst sounded very promising.
What did you think of Fairhurst during his time at Edgar Street?
He started promisingly, he scored three goals in his first three matches. He became increasingly marginalised as the manager preferred to play with one up front, namely Stuart Fleetwood.
What were his strength's and weaknesses?
Definite eye for goal but short of pace. Also some suggestion of an issue over his attitude.
Would you have liked him to stay?
If he could have maintained the form shown in his first few matches, I would definitely have said 'yes', but as it goes I don't see him as a great loss.
Did the Hereford fans come up with any good chants or nicknames for him?
Not that I'm aware of, unless Fairy Wadehurst counts.
Thanks for your views Duke.

Cosmic said: Good player, quick and can finish.
Glosbull said: Best quality is the power of his shooting with very little back lift.
Started like a house on fire but fizzled out a bit - mainly due to lack of game time with the lone striker formation.
Pheonix said: I rate him. It should be remembered that the crucial goal that kept us up, though brilliantly taken by Fleetwood, followed a free kick earned by Fairhurst who made a great jinking run.
He has goals in him when played in the right formation.
cc said: Good player IMO could score a hatful in this league. Him and Fleetwood together has obvious flaws as a partnership but that's no slight on him. Therefore, I would not be too gutted if we did not sign him, but conversely if one our rivals signed him I would be wary and a little bit jealous.
