DRFC Carling Cup draw details

Doncaster Rovers will find out who they will face in next seasons Carling Cup on Thursday June 16th.

The Football League will announce the first round ties at 9am with clubs once again being seeded and un-seeded.

Rovers will once again be amongst the seeded clubs for the draw and will face opposition from League One or League Two.

Newly promoted to the Football League Crawley Town and AFC Wimbledon will take their place in the first round draw at the expense of Lincoln City and Stockport County who dropped out of the Football League.

In last season`s competition, Rovers were one of the sides on the wrong end of a cup upset in the first round when Accrington Stanley beat Rovers 2-1 at the Keepmoat after extra time.

The draw is the start of a busy couple of days for the Football League who will release next season`s championship fixtures the following day.

Carling Cup dates 2011/12:
First Round: Week commencing August 8th
Second Round: Week commencing August 22nd
Third Round: Week commencing September 19th
Fourth Round: Week commencing October 24th
Quarter Finals: Week commencing November 28th
Semi Finals: First Leg - Week commencing January 9th, Second Leg - Week commencing January 23rd
Final: Wembley - February 26th

Catch 22, do Rovers want a decent run to get some money into the club or get out early and concentrate on whats going to be a very difficult season.
