DRFC Rovers bow-wow to mascot pressure

The main talking point around the Keepmoat Stadium this week looks to have a happy ending for Tracy Chandler, the lady inside 'Donny Dog`.

The story broke globally earlier this week after Rovers decision to fire her from her voluntary job as the clubs mascot, Donny Dog.

Tracy was fired from her job after appearing in just her underwear alongside the Donny Dog costume.

The club made the decision to fire Tracy, saying that it was bad for the name of the club.

The 40 year old, who has done the unpaid job for the past three seasons was said to be heart broken after losing her job earlier this week when the club fired her via email.

Tracy is now as happy as a dog chasing a bone after being reinstated in the job by club chairman John Ryan.

Ryan stepped in to resolve the situation by ringing Tracy to explaining there had been a misunderstanding.

Tracy spoke in the Doncaster Star about her conversation with Mr Ryan, "John Ryan rang up and said there had been a big misunderstanding.
"He said I`ve not been sacked and I`m being reinstated. He made it clear they will be using me next year again.
"He has said he doesn`t want me to do any more photoshoots."

Tracy is currently the only female club mascot in the Football League and can now look forward to entertaining the fans at the Keepmoat again next season.

I'm not sure if this was not one big publicity stunt by Rovers.

I'm glad a bit of common sense prevailed although I can see her getting some stick next season. Will it be wrong to be singingg to a clubs mascot, get yer .... out for the lads.
