DRFC Midfielder joins Port Vale

Doncaster Rovers midfielder Ryan Burge has signed for League Two side Port Vale for an undisclosed fee.

Burge was offered a new deal at the Keepmoat at the end of last season but as decided to join Port Vale.

The 23-year-old signs for Vale on a two year deal after turning down a new deal at the Keepmoat.

Burge only signed for Rovers in January on a short-term deal, making just one substitute appearance.

He enjoyed a short loan spell at Oxford United towards the end of last season, making five appearances.

Obviously didn't feel that he was going to get a good chance at Rovers and took a two year deal where he might get first team football.

Rovers have done well then to gain a fee for a player who spent six months at the club and made one substitute appearance.
