DRFC Richard Naylor Q & A

Vital Leeds United editor Dazza71 gives Vital Doncaster Rovers the low down on new signing Richard Naylor.

Naylor has signed for Rovers after being released by Leeds at the end of last season.

Were you disappointed to see him leave?
No, he has not played well for the past two seasons. He has suffered with a number of injuries and I think that affected his form.

Where do you think it went wrong for him at Leeds?
Leeds need a major overall defensively after shipping in so many goals last season. I think Simon Grayson realised that the area needs improving and that Naylor was a weak link.

What are his strength`s and weaknesses?
I think he will be a good leader at Doncaster. He wore the armband for Leeds for most of his time at Elland Road.
I think there will be less pressure on him at Doncaster. A change of scenery will do him good.
I can see him doing well at Doncaster. He came in, played the last four games of last season at Leeds, and did really well. If he can stay fully fit then he will be a good addition. Unfortunately, that is his biggest weakness. He has spent much of the last two seasons on the treatment table and he`s not getting any younger.

Did you have any chants for him?
Nothing too elaborate, Naylor, Naylor, Naylor.
