DRFC Rovers make fifth signing of the summer

Doncaster Rovers have made their fifth signing of the summer by signing free agent Chris Brown.

The 26 year old has signed a two-year deal at the Keepmoat after his contract ended at Preston North End.

Brown is no stranger to Rovers fans having enjoyed a successful loan spell at Belle Vue during the 2003/04 season.

The striker netted ten times in twenty-two appearances during the second half of the season and helped Rovers to the Division Three title.

Brown is an experienced Premier League and Championship player having also won two Division One titles during his time at Sunderland.

The Doncaster born player also had spells at Norwich City and Hull City before joining Preston where he made 120 appearances.

Brown likes the Keepmoat Stadium having netted on two of his three previous appearances at the stadium with Preston.

He becomes the fifth player signed by Doncaster Rovers this month, following James Baxendale and Richard Naylor (Both Leeds United), Tommy Spurr (Sheffield Wednesday) and Kyle Barnett (Bury) into the club.
