DRFC Treatment room remains busy

The busiest treatment room in league football continues to remain busy with seven first team players still recovering from surgery.

Rovers currently have four defenders and three midfielders taking up the treatment tables.

Defence

James Chambers is currently out after undergoing knee surgery and is still not expected back before the autumn, as he is not pencilled in to see the specialist again until September.

James O`Connor is expected to return to training in around a month after undergoing surgery on a cartilage injury at the start of this month.

Shelton Martis underwent surgery on his troublesome ankle and he is expected to be on the sidelines until at least September.

Adam Lockwood is still recovering from knee surgery earlier this year. The defender is expected to resume training in September.

Midfield

Paul Keegan is still recovering from knee surgery in March. The midfielder is expected to resume training before the season starts.

Brian Stock is ahead of schedule after undergoing ankle surgery at the end of the season. The club captain will return to full training in the middle of August.

Martin Woods injury woes continue has he under went surgery on his troublesome hip for a second time recently. The midfielder who has been out injured since December.

At least six of these definitely missing the start of the season, most unlikely to return before September. I think O'Driscoll may need to be busy in the loan market upto christmas.

I think we need to bring still more players in. We are bound to suffer more injuries before these players are back that will leave us down to the bare bones again.
