DRFC Rovers win at Barrow

Doncaster Rovers continued their build up to the new championship season with a 2-0 win at Blue Square Conference side Barrow.

Trialists Ellis Deeney, Oscar Radford and Rowan Vine all started whilst Richard Naylor made his debut for the club.

Sean O`Driscoll named a different eleven for the second half with two further trialists Rachid Bouhenna and Kevin McDonald playing, although McDonald was forced off through injury with Baxendale returning to the field.

It also saw the return of George Friend and Billy Sharp to the side.

Rovers won thanks to goals in the last fifteen minutes of the first half from Captain John Oster and a superb strike from Simon Gillett.

Barrow also made eleven changes at half time and came closest to scoring during the second half when Andy Cook saw his shot come back off the crossbar.

Rovers will now get ready for their next game at Mansfield Town on Tuesday night.
