DRFC Rovers open contract talks with trialist
Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll says the club have opened negotiations with trialist Kevin McDonald.
Speaking on Radio Sheffield, O`Driscoll said. "He`s been here long enough for us to make a decision; we`ve got options of loan players. He is somebody who has lost his way at Burnley and he`s somebody who would come within our price range. Technically he`s very good and hope he can get back to the player he was when Owen Coyle bought him for Burnley."
The 22 year old joined Rovers at the start of pre season training and he has been involved in all three games so far, as well as going on the outward bounds week in Cumbria.
McDonald made just one substitute appearance for Burnley last season and spent time out on loan at Scunthorpe United and Notts County.
Rovers are still looking at a number of other trialists with five others playing in the 1-0 pre season win at Mansfield Town on Tuesday night.
O`Driscoll will be hoping to add McDonald to the five new players that he has already brought into the Keepmoat this summer.
