DRFC O'Driscoll hoping to bring back Mason

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll is hopeful of bringing Ryan Mason back to the club.

O`Driscoll is keen to bring the England under 20 international back to the Keepmoat, speaking in the Doncaster Star, O`Driscoll said, "He`s in the last year of his contract and unless he signs a new one, they (Spurs) would like to see him go out and play more games in the Championship.
"He`s done his bit for us and we would like to stick him into the team and give him a run, so he`s quite keen to do that, He`s still on tour with Tottenham at the minute, so were just waiting for him to get back. Hopefully he will join us towards the back end of pre-season."

The Tottenham midfielder enjoyed two separate loan spells at the Keepmoat last season making fifteen appearances.

Last season was a definite backward step for Mason, as was the second half of 2009/10. Earlier that season he was controlling the Yeovil midfield, but a mix of injury niggles and runningnout of gas, seemed to halt his development.
