DRFC Brighton v Doncaster Head to Head

Doncaster Rovers travel to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday to help the Seagulls kick off life in their new stadium.

Rovers were Brighton`s last ever visitors at their old Goldstone Ground back in 1997 when Brighton won 1-0 and after a fourteen year wait they are returning to their own ground, the purpose built Amex Stadium.

Over the years, the two clubs have met on just eleven occasions at Brighton.

Brighton have much the better record with seven wins to Doncaster`s one and three being drawn.

The first ever meeting between the two came back in the 1931/32 season when Brighton won an FA Cup clash 5-0.

Rovers only victory came in the 2006/07 season, just one week after the club had won their first ever domestic trophy, when they lifted the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy.

Goals from Graham Lee and Danny Cadamarteri were enough for Rovers in a 2-0 win.

The 2-0 win is the only occasion that Rovers have score more than one goal in a game at Brighton and they have only found the net in two of the eleven games.

The last time the two sides met was at the Withdean during the 2007/08 season, when a Nicky Forster penalty was enough to secure all three points for the Seagulls.

Not the greatest record at Brighton, I actually did Graham Lee at 40/1 the day we won for first goalscorer.
