DRFC No more new additions for O'Driscoll

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll doesn`t expect to add to his squad despite losing strikers Billy Sharp and James Hayter through injury.

Both players were stretchered off in the opening day defeat at Brighton and are now expected to spend a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Eight players were missing before the game, with seven of these still recovering from long-term injuries after requiring surgery.

O`Driscoll admitted after the game that he is not expecting to add to his squad.
Speaking after the game on the BBC website , he explained that unless there was a change in his player budget, no new players would be arriving. "Unless the budget changes, we have worked within the budget, maybe we will have to look at it again," explained O`Driscoll.

Rovers have brought in nine players over the summer with Richard Naylor, Tommy Spurr, Kyle Bennett and Giles Barnes all making their first competitive appearance in Rovers colours at Brighton.

We need to go out with our begging bowl to the Premier League clubs and hope they can loan us a few players and pay the majority of their wages. O'Driscoll has been busy during the summer and you can understand that the wage budget is empty but these really are exceptional circumstances. I just hope the injuries aren't as bad as first thought. A break would actually be better than a ligament injury but your still looking at eight weeks minimum for the pair going by what O'Driscoll has said.
