Ravenhill finally joins Chester

Ricky Ravenhill has today joined Chester City on a month's loan with a view to a permanent deal.

The reason for the month loan is due to a cash flow problem at the Deva. Chester are hoping that the cash flow will be healthier at end of next month after they have played Leeds United and Wrexham.

It was rumoured last week that the midfielder sacked his agent over the first failed transfer.

Ricky will go into the Chester squad for Saturday's final friendly match against Huddersfield Town.

Stick with Doncaster Vital, only yesterday we reported that the move could be back on.

Ravenhill is the third player to move from Belle Vue to the Deva Stadium this summer. Chester had already signed Jermaine McSporran and Simon Marples who Rovers both released. Chester also have ex-Rovers Kevin Sandwith and Gregg Blundell.

The popular hard working midfielder made 159 appearances and scored 10 goals for him home town club. He also holds the Rovers club record for the most yellow cards.

Ravenhill will miss the first league game of the season due to suspension from last season.

Ricky joined Rovers on a free from Barnsley. He spent a loan spell at Napier City Rovers (New Zealand) during his time at Barnsley

Good luck to Ricky. He has served the Rovers very well. He will always be remembered as the Donny born lad that contributed so much in our back-to-back promotions.

Have you heard the rumor that Chelsea is buying Freddy Adu and loaning him to your club for the 1st of the season?
USA
It would be a very good deal for us if he did, i've heard he's very good and all the top teams in europe are chasing him

And apparently according to USA, Adu is going out on loand to virtually every League Club in England. Funny how USA has posted the exact same thing on Club pages from Carlisle to QPR. Pathetic.
