Warrington Sustains New Injury
Andy Warrington's luck appears not to have changed. The keeper, just back to full fitness after breaking his leg against Manchester City last season, now faces time on the sidelines again.
Warrington hurt his left ankle after kicking the ball just before half time in the match at Gainsborough and was stretched from the field.
Whether it is a sprain or ligament damage, or even a break, remains to be seen but he is unlikely to be fit for the opening game of the season.
Jan Budtz may come in as the reserve keeper, although he has not played since breaking his finger at the start of pre-season training. It is believed he may now be ok to play. Rovers travel to Gateshead on Monday for the last pre-season game.
