DRFC Sharp keeping fans updated

Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp is keeping fans up to date with his progress as he continues his recovery from ankle ligament damage.

The leading goalscorers is keeping fans up to date with progress reports on social networking site Twitter.

The clubs record transfer is hoping to step up his rehabilitation in the next few weeks when he has his protective boot removed on Monday.

Sharp gave Rovers fans a boost on Friday when he posted, 'Ppl asking how my injury is, boot comes off monday and can step the rehab up, still only been 4 weeks tomoz, running after 6 weeks,'

Sharp hasn`t played since the opening day of the season at Brighton and Hove Albion after suffering a nasty injury following a shocking challenge from Albion defender Lewis Dunk.

Injury ravaged Rovers have been boosted by the return to fitness of a number of long term injured players in recent weeks.

James Hayter, who also suffered an injury on the opening day as recently returned to first team action and scored in both games since his return, but it will be the return of the clubs leading goalscorer over the past two seasons, Sharp, who will hopefully lead Rovers away from the relegation places.

Hopefully he will be back after the next international break in October. At the same time O'Connor, Martis, Stock and a few of the other injured players will be really getting up to speed. Hopefully Rovers can keep picking up a few points between now and then. It will be like lots of new signings with these guys returning, lets just hope no one else gets injured (touch-wood)

I am desperate for him to be back but like Viking Phil says we don't want to rush him back and he suffers a setback.
