DRFC Cardiff v Doncaster Head To Head

Doncaster Rovers travel to Cardiff City on Saturday for what will be the sixteenth meeting between the two in the Welsh capital.

In the previous fifteen games, Cardiff have much the better record, winning ten, drawing two and losing three.

This will be the third meeting at the Cardiff City stadium with Cardiff winning the previous two.

Cardiff have won the last four meetings, scoring sixteen goals in the process.

The first ever encounter between the two came during the 1947/48 season when Cardiff won a Second Division encounter 3-0.

Rovers had to wait until the sixth meeting between the two sides to record their first win when they won a Third Division encounter 1-0 during the 1985/86 season.

Cardiff enjoyed their biggest win over Rovers during the 1997/98 season when they put seven past Rovers in a 7-1 win at Ninian Park.

Rovers biggest win is 2-0, something they have managed twice during the 1990/91 and 1996/97 seasons.

When the two sides met last season, Cardiff were inspired by debutant Craig Bellamy, who scored in a 4-0 Cardiff win.

Last season was always going to be difficult in Bellamy's first game. I have to be honest, anything from this game will be a bonus.
